Deputy Minister files nominations for Sagnarigu

Alhaji A.B.A. Fuseini, Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu, in the Northern Region has filed nominations seeking be retained as the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency in the 2016 elections.

He picked the nomination form on Thursday, filled it and submitted it on the same day and paid the filing fee of GHC10,000.00 in a banker’s draft making him the first person to complete the process at the constituency.

Alhaji Fuseini, who is also Deputy Regional Minister, thanked members of the party in the constituency for their continued support and encouragement, which has helped in chalking out many successes for the constituency in terms of development.

He pledged to continue to offer selfless and accessible leadership, working to address the needs of the constituents to promote the development of the constituency.

Mr Mohammed Abdul-Rahaman, Constituency Secretary of NDC, who received the forms, emphasised the need for all aspirants to run their campaigns with civility to avoid offending one another.

The NDC, on August 27, opened nominations for members to file to contest as parliamentary and presidential primaries of the party slated for November 7.

The filing of nominations would end on September 10.
