Delegation from Finland visits Ho

Ho, Nov. 22, GNA – A seven-member delegation from the Jarvenpaa Municipality in Finland has paid a five-day visit to the Ho Municipal Assembly.

The visit was to enhance the sister-city partnership programme between the two municipalities and to afford the Jarvenpaa Municipal Assembly delegation the opportunity to explore areas of cooperation for mutual benefit with the Ho Assembly.

The Ho Municipality is to benefit from the promotion of swimming, sports development, culture and tourism among other areas through the cooperation.

Members of the delegation were taken through topics such as the local government concept of the country, the level of Information Technology Capacity and its use in local administration.

In a welcome address, Mr. Mawutor Goh, Ho Municipal Chief Executive, noted that such technical exchanges would promote the objective of the cooperation between the two municipalities. The visit followed an earlier one from the Ho Municipal Assembly to Jarvenpaa, Finland as part of the cooperation.
