Delegates pledge to vote Woyongo as parliamentary candidate

Navrongo (U/E), Sept 13, GNA – Delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Navrongo Central Constituency have pledged to vote for Mr Mark Woyongo, the Upper East Regional Minister, as the parliamentary candidate for Election 2012.

The delegates said this when Mr Woyongo picked a nomination form and addressed the delegates.

Mr James Kugoriba, one of the delegates and a Polling Station Chairman for Pungu, said Mr Woyongo was the most marketable candidate among the three NDC candidates who could wrestle the seat from NPP.

Mr Woyongo appealed to the delegates to vote for him and assured the people that the government would be connecting many communities under the Rural Electrification Project and that more boreholes would also be drilled.

“Plans are also far advanced to put up a treatment plant at the Tono Irrigation Dam and connect water to communities in Navrongo, Bolgatanga and its surroundings,” he said.
