DCE urges parents to invest in their wards education

The District Chief Executive for Shama, Mr. Enoch Kojo Appiah, has charged parents in the district to invest in their wards education.

Education, he said, is a very important investment parents could bequeath their children, and entreated them to desist from frivolous spending.

Mr. Appiah gave the advice at the Eighth Anniversary celebration of Aboadze Holy fire Church International Women’s Ministry on Sunday.

He said “the Kitchen is not the office for women” and urged girls in the district to aspire for greater heights in education.

The DCE advised Christians to exhibit exemplary lifestyles worthy of emulation in order to draw more unbelievers to Christ.

The Member of Parliament for the area, Mr. Gabriel Kojo Essilfie, entreated Christians to promote peace, especially as the country is preparing for the general elections in December.

He admonished the electorate not to use this year’s elections as a platform to insult their political opponents, adding that, elections are occasions for exercising one’s franchise in deciding who should govern the nation.

Speaking on the topic, “A Virtuous Woman”, Mrs. Eva Ofori-Twumasi, the wife of the General Overseer of the Holy fire Church International, entreated women to exhibit good behavior and emulate the shining example of great women in the bible.**
