DCE says he would not tolerate shoddy work on roads

Liati-Agbonyra (V/R), July 9, GNA – Mr James Dogbe, Hohoe District Chief Executive, has said he would not hesitate to sanction any contractor in the District who did shoddy work.

He said this when he inspected work on the 18-kilometre Liati-Agbonyra to Fodome-Ahor and the 12-kilometre Hohoe to Fodome feeder roads.

Mr Dogbe said the government was doing all it could to build roads in food producing areas to enhance the movement of farm produce to the buying centres.

Mr Dogbe said 134.5 kilometres of feeder roads in the District would be rehabilitated this year and called on chiefs and the people to do away with disputes and litigation to enhance development. Mr Dogbe appealed to the youth in the District to form cooperative groups to engage in farming since the District Assembly would support such cooperative groups financially.
