DCE Calls for Collaboration to Eradicate Corruption

Mr Richard Aboagye, Amansie East District Chief Executive, has called for collaboration between government, religious bodies and organised groups in the fight against corruption.

He said this was crucial since it was only through co-operation and networking with organisations like religious bodies and organised institutions that a solution could be found.

Mr Aboagye made the call at the closing of a camp meeting of the Abodom District of the Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church at Amoaful in the Amansie East district.

About 1,500 members attended the one-week camp meeting.

He advised churches not to limit their support to formal education alone but to extend their efforts to adult literacy programmes.

Nana Karikari Appau II, Omanhene of Bekwai Traditional Area, commended the Church for its contribution to formal education and appealed to it to consider establishing a university in the Ashanti Region.
