DCE bemoans frequent transfer of Coordinating Directors

Mr. Samuel Mawuko Eworyi, the South Tongu District Chief Executive, has said frequent transfer of coordinating directors was negatively affecting the running of assemblies.

He said this when he introduced Ms Jemima Apedo, the new Coordinating Director, at a meeting of heads of departments at Sogakope.

“I hope Ms Apedo will also not be taken away too soon”, Mr. Eworyi said.

Mr. Eworyi cautioned workers against absenteeism and lateness to work and said there must be a change of attitude to enable the Assembly to achieve its targets.

He said though 2014 had been a very challenging one, the government’s efforts had begun showing results and added “the Assembly’s resource constraints disenabled tackling of some projects”.

He said the Assembly would pursue punitive measures against those who would flout sanitation laws.
