Dagbon State Of Emergency Extended

Parliament at an emergency session yesterday extended for one month, the State of Emergency in the Dagbon traditional area, in the Northern Region

The extension, which was by a vote of 149-0, takes effect from January 16, 2003.

It is the seventh time the House has extended the State of Emergency since the conflict began in March 2002.
