Mr Wallace Akondor, Acting Commissioner, Customs Division of Ghana Revenue Authority has called on newly graduated junior cadets of the Division to “develop the ability to withstand temptations”.
He said their work is “difficult, full of temptations” hence the need for “excellent performance with integrity”.
Mr Akondor said this at the passing out of 109 junior cadets from the Customs Division Training Academy at Kpetoe.
He asked the junior cadets to be firm and assertive and consider the interest of the country first in all their dealings.
Mr Akondor described the cadets as “men full of nobility” and cautioned the public against corrupting them.
The graduates, who went through 18 months training in basic customs management and paramilitary activities, thrilled the gathering with some drill displays.
Three cadets were awarded for distinguishing themselves, with Malik Botchway emerging the best all-round cadet.
