CTS inaugurates 11th branch in Accra Archdiocese

Accra, March 01, GNA-The Sacred Heart Parish (Derby Avenue) branch of the Catholic Twins Society (CTS) in the Accra Archdiocese of the Catholic Church was inaugurated on Sunday, with a call on members to strive to combine good traditional practices with doctrines of the Church to ensure its development and progress. This brings to 11 the number of branches so far inaugurated in the Archdiocese since the formation in 2003 of the CTS, which has, “One in Love, One in Sharing,” as its motto. The six-member executive of the society in the parish has Mr Jacob Armah as Chairman with Mr Lawrence Acquaah as his vice. Mrs Veronica Amihere, Miss Vida Antwi, and Miss Chrystabelle Agbesi-Ntibrey are Secretary, Treasurer and Financial Secretary, respectively.

Mrs Lucy Peprah-Tawiah, Founder of the Society, who made the call, urged parents of twins in the Church to present them to priests to initiate them into the Church through special prayers. She said the time had come for Christians to discard the wrong notion that twins possessed supernatural powers, because in her view, twins were a special blessing from God to their parents. The Founder of CTS, therefore, urged parents to take good care of their twin children in order for them to play meaningful roles in society.

The Reverend Fathers George Paanii Brocke and Rev. Father Eric Kabenlah, visiting priest from the Sekondi-Takoradi Diocese and Assistant Parish Priest respectively, advised members to live up to the tenets of the Society. They further advised them to show love and respect for the executives. 01 March 09
