Crystal Palace Eye Loan Move For Ghana Defender Mohammed Salisu

Black Stars defender Mohammed Salisu has attracted interest from Premier League side Crystal Palace as the club looks to bolster its defence ahead of the new season.

The 26-year-old, currently with French side Monaco, endured a frustrating spell last season with limited minutes and has yet to make an appearance this campaign. Palace are weighing up a loan move as speculation grows around Marc Guéhi’s potential transfer to Liverpool.

Salisu is also holding talks with Greek giants Olympiakos, but no deal has been finalised. The Guardian journalist Ed Aarons first reported Palace’s interest, noting that negotiations are still in the early stages.

For now, the Ghanaian defender’s focus remains on international duty. He has been named in Chris Hughton’s 24-man squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, with Ghana set to face Chad on September 4 and Mali on September 8. The Black Stars will open camp in Accra on September 1.

Fans will be eager to see whether Salisu’s next move keeps him in Europe’s top leagues or takes him to new pastures as he balances club ambitions with national duty.
