CPP youth urged to be at forefront of campaign

Tongo (U/R), Aug. 31, GNA – Mr Ramson Yinbil, Upper East Regional Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), has urged the youth of the Party to step up their campaign to enable the Party to win Election 2004.

He said pasting party posters or destroying posters belonging to opponents would not guarantee victory. ”Victory lies in dedication and effective organisation.”

Mr Yinbil said this at a constituency delegates’ congress held in Tongo at the weekend at which Mr John Yaro, a 39-year-old Teacher, was endorsed as the CPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Talensi Constituency.

Mr Yaro pledged to work hard to ensure victory for the CPP and urged the Party’s polling agents to be vigilant during the polls to prevent rigging as well as ensure free and fair elections. Mr Edwin Haywood Dadzie, an Administrative Officer from the CPP Headquarters in Accra, commended the supporters for their dedication to the Party in spite of numerous odds and urged them to win over more supporters for it.
