CPP mourns former Vice President Aliu Mahama

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) on Saturday expressed its condolences to the wife and family of the former Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama who died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Friday, November 16.

A statement issued to the Ghana News Agency by Dr Michael Abu Sakara Foster, CPP Presidential candidate said: “I wish to send my deepest condolences to the wife Hajia Aliu Mahama and the children, then the entire family of our late former Vice President and also to the people of Ghana.”

The CPP said: “Alhaji Aliu Mahama served honorably as Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and served the people of the North throughout his entire life. Ghana has lost an illustrious son and the people of the North have lost an asset.

“May the good Lord grant him eternal life. We shall forever miss him,” the CPP stated.
