Court sentence criminal to six years imprisonment

Tema, July 15, GNA – The Tema Circuit Court ‘B’ has sentenced Kwabena Awotwe, unemployed, to a total of six years imprisonment for unlawful entry, causing harm, stealing and possessing offensive weapon. He was convicted on his own plea.

Inspector Bernard Agbedanu told the court that on July 03, Mr Ben Akatsi, an employee of the Tema Fishing Harbour branch of the Agricultural Development Bank spotted accused climb the wall into the yard and entered the security office.

Mr Akatsi held the convict who removed a cutlass from his trousers and slashed Mr Akatsi’s head twice and bit his back. He was overpowered and was handed over to the police.
