The Tarkwa Circuit Court has sentenced a 20 year-old mason, Kwabena Abeka, to two years imprisonment in hard labour for unlawfully causing harm to his uncle, Kwasi Nyame.

He pleaded guilty.

According to Inspt Paddy, the complainant became unconscious and one Akua Agyapomaah Hawa who was on her way to her farm saw him lying helplessly and rushed to inform people.

He said the complainant was rushed to the Ateiku hospital for treatment.

Inspt Paddy said after the incident, the convict bolted to an unknown destination but he was arrested on October 7, at Enyinase in the Western Region by the Divisional Chief Nana Kwamena Damoah III, and was handed over to the police.
