Consultants urged to acquire management, administration training

Ho, July 21, GNA – Dr Ebenezer Agu White, National President of the Chartered Institute of Administration and Management Consultants (CIAMC), has appealed to professionals to acquire training in management and administration by virtue of the management and administration positions they hold or would hold in future.

“So long as you are a professional you will rise to become an administrator or a management consultant. This is the time to prepare for that position…,” he said.

Dr White said this at the launch of the Volta Region branch of the CIAMC.

“Indeed, the stakes are very high and there is an urgent need for all administrators and practising consultants to reposition themselves… to secure their future and be more competitive in the global village”, he said.

Dr White said the acquisition of professional training in administration and management was necessary for highly qualified and experienced professionals in all fields of human endeavour.

He said the goal of CIAMC therefore “is to inspire professionals who end up becoming administrators, irrespective of their vocation, to pursue high excellence and… make enduring contributions to the nation and wherever they find themselves.”

“The changes that we bring about wherever we find ourselves as professional administrators and management consultants should collectively result in the emergence of a nation that manifests the desired quality life, peace and joy that is fulfilling to all”, Dr White stressed.

He said the institute had a fully developed General Professional Examination Programmes, Pre-Post Experience Qualifying Programme and the Post Experience Qualifying Programme as well as the Mandatory Continuous Professional Education Programmes to continuously update the skills and expertise of qualified members.

Dr O.T. Feyi-Sobanjo, National Executive Secretary of the Institute, stressed the need for professionals not to place limitations on their potentialities.

He assured prospective students that no matter their present positions they could fit into the training schemes of the CIAMC. 21 July 04
