Company presents cheque for 20 million cedis to community

Abesewa (Ash), July 8, GNA – The Anhwiaa Wood Products Limited, a Kumasi-based timber company, has presented a cheque for 20 million cedis to the chiefs and people of Abesewa, a community in the Ahafo-Ano South District, to support their development efforts.

Presenting the cheque Mr Isaac Buabeng, the Personnel Manager, said he hoped the money would be used to address some of the socio-economic problems facing the people. He expressed disappointment that roofing sheets distributed to some communities in the district had still not been put to any use. Mr J.K. Adomako, the District Co-ordinating Director, who received the cheque on behalf of the town thanked the company for the donation and gave the assurance that it would be used for a useful purpose.
