Companies Give to GJA

Three companies yesterday contributed to the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) building project. They are the First African Group Ltd, Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) and Glostal Aluminum Company Ltd.

First African Group and SSNIT donated cheque of ?20 million and ?10 million respectively and Glostal Aluminum presented ?61 million in the form of aluminum products.

The First Vice President of the GJA, Mr. Yaw Owusu-Addo who received the donations on behalf of the GJA called on other companies to donate towards the project because, “if the media survives society would be free for business to thrive”.

He said the building which would comprise of hostels, seminar rooms and communication facilities would require about ?5 billion to complete.
