Community library inaugurated in Breman Esiam

Accra June 10, GNA – Mr Jean-Michel Berrit, French Ambassador to Ghana, has inaugurated a community library at Breman Esiam in the Central Region.

France provided 170 million cedis towards the construction of the library under its programme for community-based projects undertaken by civil society organizations.

A statement from the French Embassy made available to the Ghana News Agency on Thursday said the Sacred Heart Parish provided over 20 million cedis in cash while the District Assembly provided 10 million cedis and committed itself to providing two librarians.

The library would improve the quality of the learning environment and standard of education in the community and its surrounding areas. It would be opened to all children.

Those present at the ceremony included, Mr Isaac Edumadze, Central Regional Minister and His Eminence Peter Cardinal Appiah Turkson, Archbishop of Cape-Coast.
