Community celebrates festival

Abura-Kwamankese (C/R), April 12, GNA – The Chiefs and People of Wiomuah in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) District on Saturday celebrated their annual Akwanbu festival at Wiomuah. The purpose of the festival is to invoke the spirit of their ancestors for prosperous year.

Speaking at the function, Nna Odziasempa Kofi Dadzie eight, chief of Wiomuah expressed gratitude to AAK district assembly and the District Directorate of Education for providing the town with a Junior Secondary School (JSS) block.

Nana Dadzie hoped parents in the town would give priority attention to their children’s education and provide the necessary needs for their education.

He appealed to the assembly to provide the town with building materials for the construction of a place of convenience. Nana Dadzie appealed to the citizens to pay their basic rates promptly and participate fully in communal labour initiated by the Unit Committee.

On the impending general elections, Nana Dadzie appealed to his people to tolerate their political opponents’ view to ensure free and transparent elections.
