Community builds clinic

Accra, (Greater Accra Region) . 12, October, ’98 Members of the Accra/Tema branch of Akyem Anamase Kroye Kuo are organising a number of activities to raise money for the construction of a 100 million cedis community clinic at Anamase near Akim Oda. One of such functions was organised in Accra on October 11and 5.3 million cedis was raised through voluntary contributions and a mini harvest.

Mr Owusu Agyepong, Member of Parliament for the area, commended the association for organising activities to support on-going self-help projects in the town.

He assured the association of support from the government and the Birim South district assembly for the completion of planned projects. Mr Joe Ampontuah, chairman of the association, said the clinic when completed, would serve a number of towns including Kokoben, Bieni, Manso, Asanteman, Canan and Apanso.

He appealed to non-governmental organisations and the district assembly to support the association. GRi
