Col Damoah Sacked!

Even before Col Damoah got a call from the Army Secretary to appear before the Chief of Army Staff on 3rd of November 2009 for an interview, his release letter has already been written and signed by one Lt. Col F Vib-Sanziri, for the Chief of Army Staff.

The release letter was dated 3rd November 2009, the very day for the interview and states that the senior officer’s release takes effect from 4th November 2009, the very next day after his interview with the Chief of Army Staff which is unprecedented in the Ghana Armed Forces.

The officer was involved in a running brawl with the military authorities when a recruitment exercise of over 400 potential recruits was cancelled by the newly-installed Mills Administration.

The subject became one of the early fractious subjects to beset President Mills, especially when National Democratic Congress (NDC) officials defended the move by stating that the recruitment was tilted in favour of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Col Damoah was the Director of Personnel Administration, the department handling the subject under review.

An unsatisfied Col. Damoah defended his position on the issue when he was a member of a Board of Inquiry (BOI) ordered by the military high command in the early days of the Mills Administration.

After a while, Col Damoah was dropped from the board. He was said to have been moved to another office where information had it that he was vegetating with nothing definite to do.

Stay Tune for more exposures on this matter of the destruction of the military career of a promising, dedicated and selfless officer by the government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by President Professor Atta Mills! Source:
