Awuku Avie, a 40 year old cocoa farmer from Goalkeeperkrom near sefwi kaase has butchered his wife madam Abena Ahenefie to death and has fled.
At a press briefing at Sefwi Debiso, in the Bia district, police commander ASP Daniel Wiafe disclosed that the couple live together in the same village, however about a week ago, the wife suspected the husband of having an affair with another woman.
The confrontation resulted in a fight between the two on Monday night.
The community and immediate neighbours woke up to see the mutilated body of the victim in her bedroom on Tuesday.
The body according to the police has been conveyed to the Dormaa Presbyterian hospital for autopsy.
The man is currently on the run.
