Co-ordinating director warns heads of department

The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District Co-ordinating Director, Mr. James Sarpong-Dam, on Wednesday noted that some heads of department in the district attended work only three instead of five days in a week.

Addressing a meeting of heads of department at Ajumako, he said reports indicated that some heads of department failed to turn up for work on Fridays and show up only on Tuesdays, thus working for only three days in a week.

He said such unpatriotic acts retarded productivity and announced plans to pay surprise visits to the departments.

Mr Sarpong-Dam warned heads that left their post without permission that they would be dealt drastically.

He urged them to submit their action programmes to the assembly for incorporation in the medium-term development plan.

The District Co-ordinating Director said the Assembly had completed a six- unit residential accommodation to be allocated to departments.

He said the Assembly was to publish a newsletter to showcase the achievements of the district and appealed to the heads to contribute articles.
