Kumasi, April 3, GNA – The Planning Committee for the 10th Anniversary celebration of the enstoolment of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, has outdoored a cloth for the celebration in Kumasi. It was printed by management of Akosombo Textiles Limited (ATL) with the portrait of Asantehene.
Nana Otuo Serebour II, Paramount Chief of Juaben Traditional Area and Chairman of the Planning Committee, said the cloth would serve as a souvenir for the celebration.
He said the celebration was memorable in view of the noble socio-economic initiatives and programmes the Asantehene had instituted for the accelerated development of Asanteman and the nation. Nana Serebour pointed out that it was time the nation appreciated her cultural heritage to help preserve the virtues inherent in its traditional beliefs and practices. He said the cloth had been printed in white and yellow and enough had been made available on the market for the public.
