Citizens of Asankrangwa in UK donate computers to school

Asankrangwa (W/R), March 23, GNA – Citizens of Asankrangwa resident in the United Kingdom have donated five computers and accessories to Asankrangwa Catholic Primary and Junior Secondary schools.

Rev Fr Seth Owusu, the Assistant Parish Priest of the Asankrangwa Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, said this at a general meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the school at Asankrangwa on Monday.

He thanked the donors and appealed to parents to send their children to school, irrespective of their financial positions, as education from the primary to JSS levels is now free under the Free Compulsory Universal Basic Education (FCUBE) programme.

Mr Francis Buadu, the Headmaster of Asankrangwa Catholic JSS, appealed to parents to make voluntary contributions in cash or in kind to the school to enable it to undertake projects that would enhance teaching and learning. 23 March 05
