CID: NABPTEX docket not missing

Accra, Aug. 4, GNA – The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service on Thursday denied that the docket on a case of stealing at the National Board for Professional and Technician Examinations (NABPTEX) is missing.

A statement signed by Chief Inspector Joseph Darkwah, Public Relations Officer of the CID, said a fraud case at NABPTEX reported at the Nima Police Station against five people was investigated and the suspects were found culpable.

They were therefore charged with conspiracy to steal and stealing.

The statement said they were released on bail to appear before court.

It said the relevant case docket had been forwarded to the court unit of the Regional Police headquarters for prosecution.

“It is therefore not true that the docket on the case in question cannot be found,” the statement added.
