Churches urged to preach salvation to mankind

Reverend Professor Immanuel A. Agbozo, Leader of the Ghana Evangelical Society, has urged the leadership of the Church, to focus on preaching salvation and liberty to mankind, and not dwell only on wealth and prosperity.

Rev Agbozo said it was regrettable that some of the churches were now preaching financial breakthrough and how to be successful in life, neglecting the redemption of God’s power to mankind.

Rev Agbozo made the call at a programme dubbed: “National Redemption Month” in Accra, to thank God for His guidance and protection for the Nation.

He explained that Redemption is God’s intervention in the state of affairs of the human creation, and that Christ came to cancel the state of our unrighteousness, and give hope to Christians.

He said Jesus came to give hope to the hopeless, stressing that “people without God are people without hope,” and urged all to be committed to the course of God’s word.

Rev Agbozo pointed out that the leadership and practices in the Church were not free from Satanism and disobedience order, and the consultation of spirits and powers, and urged all to submit to God’s will.

He said Ghana stands as chosen, redeemed, and blessed in divine light, and that the Church and State must respond to the transformation of life, and act according to the will of God.
