Christians urged to conduct their affairs with reverence

Reverend Opare Darko, Pastor of the Koforidua Ascension Presbyterian Church, has urged Christians to conduct their affairs in a manner that would allow non Christians to accept Christ

He said as people of God, Christians needed to reflect on the story of Christ and be humble in all affairs to ensure that in humility the nation would attain its God’s destined position.

Preaching a sermon on Christmas day, Rev Darko said the events surrounding the birth of Christ who was born in a manger even though he was the son of God must prevail upon Christians to live in humility and modesty.

He said the birth of Christ was not about eating and drinking but rather a period to reflect on the mysteries of God.

Reverend Darko expressed the hope the season would not be business as usual, but rather for people to understand that Christ through his birth in a manger did indeed set an example worthy of emulation.
