Child neglect cases increase in Akumsa-Domase

Akumsa-Domase (B/A), Jan. 8, GNA – The Nkoranza District Office of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) recorded 788 complaints since it started operations in June 2000. Miss Joyce Nyamadie, District Director of the Commission, said during the 10th Anniversary Celebration and Convention of the Apostles Reformation Church International.

She said out of the complaints 409 were cases of child neglect, custody and paternity disputes.

Miss Nyamadie deplored the practice by some family heads to eject spouses from their marital houses or deprive them of the estates and said the practice was unlawful.
