Chief of Assin Atandasu appeals for polyclinic

Assin Nyankumasi (C/R) Feb 17, GNA- The Omanhene of the Assin Atandasu Traditional Area, Odeefuo Nana Tibu Asare II on Wednesday appealed to the government and stakeholders in the health sector to upgrade the Assin Nyankumasi Ahenkro Health Centre into a polyclinic to address the health needs of the people.

He said the Centre lacked the personnel and facilities to meet the demands of the people.

Odeefuo Asare made the appeal during a ceremony to re-name some nine African-Americans who had traced their roots to the Assin Atandasu Traditional Area in the Assin South District. He said due to the poor facilities at the centre patients with serious cases were either referred to the Assin Fosu Catholic Hospital or to Cape Coast Hospital.

Odeefuo Asare also appealed for girls hostel and library for the only senior secondary school in the area.
