Chief commends government for rehabilitation of road

Awutu Nfaadwene (C/R), March 14, GNA – The chief of Awutu Nfaadwene, near Awutu Bontrase in the Awutu-Effutu-Senya District, Nana Kwadwo Banafo I, on Sunday commended the Kufuor administration for rehabilitating the Awutu Bontrase-Nfaadwene-Obuase feeder road.

According to the chief, it was the first time that road was being rehabilitated since it was constructed fifteen years ago.

Nana Banafo, however, appealed to the Department of Feeder Roads to impress upon the contractor engaged on the project to speed up work before the rains set in.

The chief appealed to the Awutu-Effutu-Senya district assembly to construct a permanent school building to house the Nfaadwene and Nkwadum JSS.

Nana Banafo also commended the Assemblyman for the area, Mr. Daniel Asomani, for his development oriented leadership and therefore urged the people in the area to give him the necessary support.
