Chief appeals to Parliamentary Caucus to help settle

Ayomso (B/A) Sept 23, GNA – Nana Oyeeman Appiah Kubi, Chief of Ayomso in Asunafo North District of Brong-Ahafo has called on the Ahafo Parliamentary caucus to come together and settle chieftaincy disputes in their constituencies.

He stated that chieftaincy disputes and litigations were retarding progress of the district.

Oyeeman Appiah Kubi made the call when Mr. Robert Sarfo-Mensah, MP for Asunafo North paid a day’s visit to him at the palace at Ayomso. The chief stressed that the progress of Ahafo depended on the collaborative efforts of traditional authorities and appealed to the MPs to pay frequent visits to explain government policies to traditional leaders.

Oyeeman Appiah Kubi appealed to the government to help asphalt the five-kilometre Goaso-Ayomso road to facilitate the evacuation of cocoa and farm produce to marketing centres. Mr. Sarfo-Mensah thanked the chief for his concern for the development of Ahafo and the region as a whole.
