Catholic priest commits suicide in Navrongo

A 28-year-old Catholic priest Reverend Father Sebastian Dery has committed suicide in Navrongo in the Upper East region.

Father Dery was serving the Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocese of the Catholic Church.

Starr News’ Upper East Regional correspondent Edward Adeti reported Dery, who hanged himself in the Mission House, left a suicide note asking one Emmanuel and his parents for forgiveness.

This is the second time in less than a year that a Reverend father has committed suicide.

In August last year, a 31-year-old Catholic Priest, Reverend Father Kevin Abakisi committed suicide by hanging in Tamale.

Police in Navrongo are investigating the latest case.
