Captain Mahama’s mother pictured crying over son’s demise

A photo of the mother of the late Captain Maxwell Mahama weeping over the demise of her son has been met with sorrow on social media.

In the photo, the late soldier’s mum can be seen weeping helpless and being consoled by two women. Former president John Mahama and another man also tried to console her.

On social media, many Ghanaians have expressed sympathy for the plight of the late Captain’s mother.

The photo comes barely two days after Barbara Mahama, the widow of the late captain, was also pictured crying helpless when Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, the founder of the Light House Chapel, visited her.

Captain Mahama was killed by mob at Denkyira Obuasi on Monday.

Police say the army officer was thought to be a thief because he carried his official pistol on him.

Seventeen people have been remanded in connection with the killing.

Plans are also underway to bury the fallen soldier on Friday, June 9.
