Cadres say office seekers must be judged on merit

Ho, Oct. 11, GNA – The Volta Regional United Cadres Front (UCF) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Tuesday called on members of the party to assess colleagues seeking political office on their individual merit.

The UCF made the call at a forum in Ho over a tussle between Mr Victor Condobrey, the MP for Hohoe North and one Mr Nestor Gbevlo, said to be interested in that seat on the ticket of the NDC. “If Mr Gbevlo is not liked by the people of this constituency, it is a matter of being rejected at the constituency primaries and that will end the matter there,” a statement read by Mr John Tenyoh Agbovi, Volta Regional Assistant for Political Programmes of the UCF, said. “The Volta Regional Executives of the UCF of the NDC are calling for calm and restraint in the Hohoe North constituency” the statement said.
