Cabinet reshuffles, Kojo Yankah out of Ashanti

President Jerry John Rawlings on Thursday made changes in the appointment of some ministers. The changes, which take immediate, effect, moves Mr.

Kojo Yankah, Ashanti Regional Minister, to the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) as Minister of State.

Mr. Samuel Nuamah-Donkoh goes to Ashanti Region as the new Regional Minister. A press release signed by Mr. J. L. M. Amissah, Secretary to the President, said Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu, Presidential Adviser on Governmental Affairs (PAGA), will exercise temporary oversight responsibility of the Ministry of Health pending the appointment of a new Minister. Meanwhile, Major J. R. K. Tandoh (rtd), Director, National Communication Authority, is to proceed on leave.

The President has nominated Mrs. Victoria Addy, Member of the Council of State as the Chairperson of the Ghana Airways Board. Mrs. Grace Orleans, former Solicitor General, becomes the Chairperson of the Lands Commission Board, replacing Mrs. Addy. A press release signed by Mr. J. L. M. Amissah, Secretary to the President, said Rear Admiral Owusu-Ansah, Navy Commander, has been nominated Chairman of the Fisheries Commission in addition to his responsibilities.
