Businessmen/women attend workshop

The Business Advisory Centre (BAC), in collaboration with the Birim Central Municipal Assembly, has organised a day’s workshop for business centres in the municipality to conscientise them on finding solutions to hindrances to their operations.

Mr Frempong Boadu, the Municipal Co-ordinating Director, said the annual workshop was also to find ways of enhancing job opportunities.

He said the 30 participants would discuss how to effectively operate their business, establish an industrial village, and secure capital and raw materials among other things.

Mr Richard Mongson, the Municipal Officer for the Business Advisory Centre, told the Ghana News Agency that the meeting was part of the planning process towards the preparation of the BAC annual work plans and budgeting for 2016.

He appealed to the assembly to organise frequent orientation on business operations for the public and also provide them industrial village where small-scale businesses could be easily located.

The participants called for financial assistance from the assembly to enable them to set up their businesses.
