Bush to Meet Kufuor

President Bush will meet the presidents of Ghana, Senegal and Mali on June 28 to discuss political stability and regional security in West Africa, a White House spokesman said on Thursday.

Ghana’s President John Kufuor, Senegal’s President Abdoulaye Wade and Mali’s President Alpha Oumar Konare would meet Bush in the Oval Office, said White House spokesman Ari Fleischer.

“These three leaders have demonstrated solid commitment to democracy at home and are actively engaged in peacekeeping and regional affairs. President Bush looks forward to discussing issues affecting West Africa, particularly its political stability and regional security,” Fleischer said.
