Bomplex workers on strike

Workers of the Naja David Veneer and Plywood Limited otherwise known as Bomplex have embarked on a sit-down strike calling on the management of the company to dismiss their personnel manager, Mr Kofi Nti for gross disrespect for workers right. According to the workers, the personnel manager has caused the non-payment of workers bonuses, medical expenses and other allowances due them. The spokesman for the demonstrating workers, Mr Matthew Eshun complained of poor conditions of service and arbitrary termination of appointments of workers.

He called for the dismissal of the personnel manager and a formation of workers union to pave way for fresh negotiations on condition of service.

On his part, the personnel manager, Mr Kofi Nti denied the many allegations leveled against him. In an interview with Kapital Radio, he denied terminating the appointment of any worker and disclosed that management of the company would meet on the matter to take decision.
