Bolgatanga, March 4, GNA – Mr Rockson Bukari, the acting Bolgatanga Municipal Chief Executive, on Friday inaugurated the tender and audit report implementation committees of the municipal assembly at Bolgatanga.
The six-member tender review committee has Mr. Boniface Zobah a consultant of the Architectural and Engineering Services Limited (ESL) as chairman, while the five-member Audit committee has Mr. Joseph Agongo as chairman.
Mr Bukari said the non-existence of these committees especially that of the audit in the assembly enabled staff to flout the rules and regulations and go unsanctioned.
Mr Bukari charged members of the committees to review all recommendations that ought to be implemented to correct the bottlenecks that have been brought to light by external auditors and other monitoring teams within the assembly.
He urged the committees to live up to expectation in ensuring that the concept of transparency and accountability is not compromised.
