Bokankye inaugurates sanitation facility

Bokankye, a fast growing community in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District, has inaugurated a GH?100,000.00 sanitation facility funded by the chief, Nana Nsuase Opoku Agyemang, the Akyeamehene of the Asantehene.

Nana Opoku Agyemang, the Akyeamehene (chief linguist), donated the 30-seater water closet toilet as his contribution towards improving environmental sanitation in the town.

This has come as a huge relief to the population as many of the households are without toilets, leading the residents to rely on public facilities.

Performing the inaugural ceremony, Nana Opoku Agyemang, counseled the people to make sure that the facility was kept clean.

He used the occasion to remind them to maintain a healthy environment – they should not litter or dump waste into open drains and unauthorized places to help prevent diseases.

He assured the people that he would do everything to find the resources to complete a market project, he had started for the community.

He encouraged them to be law abiding and work together to protect the peace.
