Black Stars Climb FIFA Rankings After Strong World Cup Qualifier Wins

Ghana’s Black Stars have climbed two places in the latest FIFA world rankings, rising to 73rd globally following an impressive run of results in the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.

The team, led by head coach Otto Addo, has now recorded back-to-back improvements after moving up one spot in the previous ranking.

The rise comes on the back of a dominant international window in October 2025, where Ghana produced two solid performances. The Black Stars thrashed Central African Republic 5-0 in Morocco, before edging Comoros 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium, securing top spot in Group I of the qualifiers.

Despite the global progress, Ghana’s continental standing remains unchanged, holding 14th place in Africa.
