BGL builds library and computer centre for Bogoso

Bogoso(W/R), Feb. 19, GNA – The management of Bogoso Gold Limited (BGL) is building a library and a computer centre estimated at about 60,000 dollars for Bogoso community.

Work on the library started in January, this year is about 70 per cent complete, Nana Richard Hagan, Manager, Community Affairs and Sustainable Development of the company announced when he took newsmen around to inspect on-going projects being undertaken by BGL at Bogoso. Nana Hagan said in addition, BGL had embarked on electrification projects, maintenance of roads and rehabilitation of hospitals but was now focused on construction of physical structures.

He said the company would not shirk its social responsibility on maintenance and would assist any community that initiated development projects.

Nana Hagan said the company would collaborate with the Bogoso area council on projects required by the communities, adding; “The Company would not impose development projects on communities within its catchment area.”
