Better Ghana Agenda cannot be bound with time – Moore

Saltpond (C/R), Oct 22, GNA – The Mfantseman West Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Stephen Edward Moore has stated that the better Ghana President John Evans Atta Mills promised Ghanaians is a process which cannot be bound by time. He said it was an ongoing process which called for the participation of all citizens of the country.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Saltpond, Mr Moore reminded the critics of the President that governance was not a race to be accomplished within a specified time limit.

He expressed concern about some machinations within the NDC to pull down the President who is also the leader of the party, and cautioned those who wanted to use that procedure to champion their political ambitions to stop it because they will fail.

The NDC Constituency Chairman pointed out that Professor Mills ascended the throne not by his might but by the power of God so it was only God who could cause his downfall, “and that will be the time when the President has turned against God and refuse to govern according to the wishes of God.”

He advised members and supporters of the party to be circumspect about their actions and utterances to avoid providing campaign messages for their opponents.

Mr Moore commended President Mills for remaining focused despite the challenges confronting him and appealed to all well-meaning Ghanaians to pray for him in order not to let the uncalled for criticisms to dampen his spirit and distract his attention. He appealed to the foot-soldiers of the party to consider the repercussions of their behaviour on the party and to refrain from utterances and activities which can affect the fortunes of the party. “Show that you love the party and refrain from unruly behaviour,” the Chairman exhorted the foot-soldiers. 22 Oct 10
