“In the spirit of patriotism, we are refunding the funds to players who bet on the outright markets,” he said. “Instead of voiding those bets, we’ve taken a bold decision to refund our players, in our own little way, to support the Black Stars.”

Betano Ghana has urged eligible customers to verify that their money has been returned by logging into their accounts on the company’s app or website and checking their balances.
The refunds apply to qualifying outright bets placed on Ghana’s overall performance at the World Cup, rather than individual match markets. The company has not announced any changes to settlements for other bet types related to the Black Stars or the wider tournament.
The decision effectively restores the stakes of punters who had expected Ghana to go beyond the Round of 32, softening the financial blow of the team’s early exit.
