The opposition New Patriotic Party’s Vice Presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will officially meet the National Executives of the party this morning.
This will be his first official visit to the party’s headquarters to meet the executives after he was recently endorsed unanimously as Nana Akufo-Addo’s running mate.
He is expected to express his appreciation to the National Executives and also ask for their support in partnering Nana Akufo-Addo towards the December elections.
Dr. Bawumia was selected for the second time to partner Akufo-Addo for the upcoming December elections.
After his selection on Thursday, many political analysts have said that the NPP will have to work hard to wrestle power from the ruling NDC due to the Dr. Bawumia’s perceived political inexperience.
The NDC has also stated that the NPP will again be defeated in the December polls because the selection of Dr. Bawumia will not improve the fortunes of the party.**
