Bawumia assures Muslims

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia last Saturday assured Muslims that the current Akufo-Addo administration would make good its promises to the people of Ghana.

Dr Bawumia disclosed this during the annual Quanic recitation and Maulud in Prang, Brong Ahafo Region.

Addressing the hundreds of Tijjaniya Muslims assembled at the place, he told them that arrangements were being made to ensure that members of the faith undertake the annual Hajj with minimal challenges.

He also charged Muslims to respect each other, irrespective of party affiliations.

The Vice President was accompanied by Sheikh IC Quaye, Chairman of the board of the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana, Sheikh TB Damba and other dignitaries.

In his address, Sheikh Abu Fail Maikano, the host, expressed delight that this is the first time in the history of the annual recitation and Maulud that a Vice President had graced the occasion.

He also thanked Vice President Bawumia for gracing the occasion.
