BABD begins demolishing exercise

Bibiani (W/R), Oct 27, GNA – The Bibiani-Anwhiaso-Bekwai District Assembly has pledged to pull down all unauthorized structures in the area and appealed to the people to show understanding and support the exercise. Mr Ebenezer Asante, the District Building Inspector, said there was the need to restore some sanity and asked that this should not be politicized. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Bibiani, he said the situation where physical developments are carried out without prior approval by the planning authority could not be allowed to continue. Mr Asante said the assembly would act boldly and firmly to end the unhealthy practice and warned that those who would flout the assembly’s regulations would be prosecuted to serve as deterrent.
