Ayariga sacked Vicky Hammah not President

Ernest Owusu Bempah, Deputy Communications Director of the National Democratic Party (NDP) has challenged government to offer explanations for the dismissal of the Deputy Communications Minister, Victoria Hammah.

Speaking on Oman FM’s political analysis programme, the NDP devotee was of a strong view that the dismissal of the former Deputy Communications Minister was done at the behest of Information Minister, Mahama Ayariga.

According to him, it was not in the interest of President Mahama to remove her (Ms. Hammah) from office; a reason why government issued the terse statement.

“There’s nothing at all that stops me from believing Victoria Hammah is a credible person. That’s why the President appointed her. She’s wise, a very intelligent woman who can be the Deputy Communications Minister. So, in my mind, I presume she is very wise.”

Owusu Bempah held that the government is only trying to portray Ms. Hammah as a “brainless” young lady due to their hypocrisy.

“They should go and say that to the Marines…It was not the wish of President Mahama to dismiss Victoria Hammah. And I’m daring the government officials. It was Ayariga and those people who issued the statement,” he stated.
